Collaborating with SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, students from both Melbourne and Berlin engaged in design studios to devise and develop complete blueprints for a scenographic intervention, designed for an audience of one, for a warehouse space in Melbourne.
The art work was crafted from many different textured and weighted materials, encouraging the participants to feel as they pushed through the space. With each viewer, the space got more tangled and created a new experience for each person. An eerily soothing soundscape was paired with harsh work-lights to enhance the sensory experience. The idea came from the isolation of spending many hours in virtual spaces during covid.
All materials were sourced secondhand and recycled or rehoused appropriately.
